Hello fellow writers!

I'm a freelance writer who has been in the business for a while now. I started out writing for my high school newspaper in Charlestown, Ind. and then for my college paper at Hanover College in Indiana.

After graduation, I took an advertising job at the Madison Courier, hoping it would lead to the newsroom. Meanwhile, my husband-to-be began working in Michigan and wanted me to apply for a position as Family Living Editor at the Hillsdale Daily News. I landed that position, got married and decided to be a stay-at-home mom for 10 years.

I returned to the Daily News as a part-timer and was there almost another decade before taking a freelance position at another paper. Recently, I was called back to write part time for the Daily News. I also write for a local magazine called Simply Hers and take on any writing gigs I can get my hands on. I've covered everything from business to features and news.

I'm married to a fabulous man and we have three children, two in college. I love to travel, play tennis and raquet ball, read and cook.

I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the Suite 101 community.
